Gold Mine!! Keep Out...

After taking the True Color personality test I found out I was the color Gold.  The color gold describes my characteristics correctly not all but some. Family to me is really important and traditions as well. I like to show I care and motivate people to do the right thing and to be responsible for their actions. I’m always the go to girl when it comes to advice or planning events, because when some plans don’t work I always have an alternative plan to back it up and make it better. I like my personal space at home and work to be neat and orderly so that explains my neat freak traits. I’m always trying to have my stuff clean and organize. Also, I like to follow rules and regulations. Following rules is a big thing for me I don’t like to get in trouble for not following simple rules. Finally, when I’m not recognized for my hard work and dependency I tend to feel uncomfortable and unappreciated so I like to be rewarded for my efforts.
'
The career that I got was auto mechanic also known as auto technician.  They take care of repairing vehicles and diagnosing any repairs needed that is causing the problem on vehicles.  The requirements on this career requires hands on training at least two years’ experience and to obtain the automotive service excellence certificate to sanction to work on vehicles. If you get the opportunity of taking auto mechanics in high school make sure you take advantage. So when you finally done you could get to work at a dealership or garage job. The job isn't stressful but requires a lot of patience and interaction with customers. It gets irritating when you get raucous customers. Also, you get dirty a lot and have to be under tight spaces and work indoors all the time under supervision. Always make sure you have you own tools, some dealers may give your special manufacture tools. This career is constantly growing, because with new vehicles being manufacture with computers you need to have a lot of knowledge on computers to fixed vehicles.  I was talking to Jeremy Fiala he’s an automotive technician from Eastern Shore Toyota. He’s been working there for six years already. He likes the fact that the job pays good and your always learning something new. A detriment about the job is that you have to clean after leaving the job. He works from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday thru Saturday and he only gets a day off. His advice is to learn all the math you can and to not give up. This career pays an average of $3,255 and highest $5,006 and up. The jobs expected every year with 31,170 openings available.

My True Color: Gold

After recieving my true color assesment results, it made me realize how much options I have for a job. It even made my head spin a little. My true color is gold. I noticed that being apart of the gold this category means that I enjoy order in my life, my home, and family. The person I am is not egocentric. I'm just the opposite I'm more giving than anything. I am a person that always wants to get things done and right. I highly believe in the motto that was stated in my true colors result which is "always be prepared". I believe that motto because anything could happen so you should always have a plan B.
Before taking this true colors assessment I didn't know what I wanted to be. I was just so perfunctory in everything. I'm just so confused but I was also mesmerized by all the options they gave me. Since, their are a lot of options it made me a little scared because what if I try something and I just dont if im gunna like it. After going through the list of jobs they gave me, none of them really stuck out to me. All I really want is to have a job that makes a differenece in people lives. So when I came across parole and probation officer and pharmacy assitant it really caught my attention. I liked the pharmacy assitant better because its in the medical field and I know im making more of a difference in some ones life. Even though I never though about being a pharmacy assistant I am really considering it.
A pharmacy assistant work under the direction of and assist pharmacists. The assistant does everything needed in the workplace like labeling, putting information into computers, make sure the pharmacy is clean, and stock shelves. What really caught my attention about this job is that you should  be really good in math. I actually am really good in math and math happens to be my favorite subject. Even though being a pharmacy assistant caught my eye I'm still not sure if its fits me and is something that I will be willing to do. I believe that over time I will figure out what my dream job is after I explore a little more.

Go Blue or Go Home

After completing my True Colors Self- Assessment and receiving my True Color results, I was euphoric to find out that the qualities and characteristics of the color blue were Right On about my personality. As a blue; we are among the most loving, nurturing and supportive people in the world. We often seek to express ourselves from the heart, and we are generally sensitive. Blues also possess extraordinary people skills, and others enjoy our presence. We tend to value honesty and authenticity, also we are least judgmental of all people and we tend to focus on what is good in people. Career wise, I was able to find out that as a blue we have a great amount of career choices and are able to succeed in different career fields, reason being that as a blue you may begin to dislike your job if the people and tasks become routine. We prefer family-like, friendly, personalized and warm work environments. As I looked through the list of occupations pertaining to the color blue I noticed a great amount of jobs in the Human Health Sciences and Services (Medical Field). Having seen this made me feel more confident about the career choice I have chosen to persevere.
I did some more research into the career I want to perceive and Registered Nursing also known as RN's is among the top 10 occupations with the largest job growth. Registered Nursing requires a large base of knowledge used to assess, plan and intervene to promote health, prevent disease and help patients cope with illness. They are health educators and advocates for patients, families and communities. They have an idiosyncratic scope of practice and can practice independently. Professional nursing responsibilities have changed considerably over time. Nurses today are highly respected and valued members of the health care team who bring their own body of knowledge to the process of health care. Some nurses choose to focus on a particular specialty. There are numerous specialty options, each of which has its own training/certification requirements and related professional network or organization. In addition, nursing has four advanced practice clinical professions, each of which requires a graduate degree and separate certification. Looking at the working conditions; most nurses work in healthcare facilities although home health and public health nurses travel to their patients', homes, schools, community centers and other sites. RN's may spend considerable time walking and standing, inclusive may be exposed to communicable diseases. Some may work on board ships and in natural disasters or war zones They also need to be able to cope well with stress, since nursing involves direct involvement with human suffering, emergencies and other pressures. Preparation consists of a high school diploma or equivalent required for admission  to any school of Nursing. There are two major ways of obtaining education to become a Registered Nurse: a Bachelors Degree;4-5 years of study, or an Associates Degree; 2 years of study. Registered Nurses earn on average $64,690 a year, although compensation depends on level of education, experience, geographic location and the type of facility. Experienced registered nurses with advanced education can earn $80,000 a year or more.

My Second Calling!

Mt Brother's Workplace!

From the true color test, it showed that my dominant color is gold and I feel that it's spot on. I feel good that gold is my color because it describes my personality very well by saying that I am organized, punctual, reliable, and dependable. I totally agree with the color it gave me because first I like to keep certain things organized and know where they are at to make it easier on me to find. Second, I am punctual because I don’t like being late to anywhere I go because that’s not me and it looks wrong for me. Third, I am very reliable because people can count on me to do my job and get my work done on time. Lastly, I am very dependable because i do everything myself and don't like to see people doing things for me, it just doesn't look right for me.when it comes down to me and what I do. It also says that I value order and family and it’s correct because I put my family first before anything and do whatever I can to make my family happy. It didn’t have the job I was looking for in my career, but like always you need to have a backup plan for everything you do and it had another good career that I would see myself getting into and that is Recreation Leaders. I believe this job is a good fit for me because my traits are a perfect fit for that career. I can interact with people very well and know how to deal with them when they are not in their best mood. Even though I am reticent, I can still show authority and let the people know that who is in control and that is something I am very good at doing. Also, the career fits me well because it has to do with parks and taking care of the kid’s after school and look out for them. The person I interviewed that works in Recreation Leader was my brother Jamie Aguilar. His occupation is Recreation Leader 1.  I asked him about how much salary they make and also what kind of job you do and he told me that the job is very simple, easy, and relaxing because you need to have a great personality and be able to cohesive with the people you are looking out for and really need to enjoy your job. Even though you don’t get pay that much it’s still a good career because you learn a lot about people and learn new things everyday and sometimes you can teach people something that they didn’t know about the world or they can look up to you. You also learn how to be responsibility, healthy, and active in the job because of the people around you and all of the work you do. He also told me that the place is not a Utopia but you can work with it as much as you want. The important question I ask my brother was can you favor one person more than another? He told me that you can't be indiscriminate with the people because then you will have big problems.

True Color Career Match

When I took the True Color test my results showed that I was mostly Blue with 18. (13-Gold, 12-Green, 7-Orange) I am known to be one of the most loving, nurturing, and supportive people in the world according to the test. I believe most of the information on here is true and resembles who I am. One of the options for occupations I may be good at, and I had interest in was to be a Bilingual School Teacher/Translator. I've always loved learning about my culture (I'm full Japanese/ somewhat fluent lately it's been rusty though, because I haven't used it as much) and it  also gives me a reason to practice both languages. Depending on grades and if special needs or not the wage they make differs. It seems fun and it was somewhat I wanted to major and become so I was surprised when I saw it as one of the job options.

I've always loved the thought of helping out, and during Elementary and Middle School I noticed the teachers always put me in charge of taking care of the foreign kid, because...well I'm not too sure, but I'm guessing there was a good reason though. I understand how frustrating it can get at times but in the end all of the help makes me feel good that I was able to help someone in need. I hope everything works out in the end and I can find a nice job in the future. ♥

Gold!

Gold! My true color is “Gold.” As a gold color we value home and family traditions with order. We are depended upon and we are reliable as we are punctual about it. We crave structure of society with loyalty as our marks. We are generous and show that we care especially when people do the right things or showing responsibility for their actions. When we do something “the right way” it makes us feel good and we take pride in it. We have a place for everything and are organized in our work and personal space. We know where things are when we need them. Gold people like to look at the facts. We are not interested in the idea theory, we enjoy realistic facts. People that are gold follow the rules and we enjoy symmetry. We like having jobs to do that is clearly defined. We like when everything is spelled out for us and we do not have to guess is preferred. Gold people like to have lucid directions. We also worry a lot, we want things to do well and worry that they will not go as planned. Gold people like to have not only a plan but a good plan. We plan for everything so much that if it does not go as planned, we get uneasy. Gold people also plan for B, C, and D so if things don’t go as planned then we have a back-up.
Gold is a true match for me. I love being with my family and coming home at night. Structure is important to me. I like to have a set schedule.  When I do “the right thing” I feel great about that. Doing something wrong makes me feel uneasy and I have to do it the right way. Facts are important to me, facts that are clear cut. There is no guessing when I have clear cut facts. Rules are everything to me. Rules and guidelines are very important to me because rules are there for a reason, not just to be mean. I have a plan for everything I do. I plan my day with what I have to do and what I want to do and how long that should take me.  My friends look to me for a plan because they know that I will have everything that needs to get done. I have a plan A, B, C, and sometimes D. The plans are made that day, that way nothing can change too much.
One of the gold occupations is a Railroad Conductor. One of the responsibilities of a railroad conductor is to direct the crew of the passengers or freight train. They are also in charge of the train’s operations while en route and/or in the rail yard. Conductors work with the crew to make sure that that train gets to its destination safe and on time.  Conductors need to have good communication skills with both good oral and written. Also a railroad conductor needs to be able to multitask, being able to give directions to their crew members, have very good hand-eye coordination, as well as hand and feet coordination. A railroad conductor is very physical. It’s a demanding job every day; you work in outside and inside environments. The risk of injury is high because there is moving and precarious mechanics. Railroad conductors in California get paid from $3,000 as entry to a top pay of $5,000 and up per month. According to the standard Occupational Classification, it states that railroad conductors could grow from 40,800 in 2010 to 42,700 in 2020 at a rate of 9.2%.
A railroad conductor sounds good in theory, but I do not think that I could do it day in and day out. I enjoy trains and things to do with trains. I think that when you enjoy something since childhood and then you start working with it, it can take the fun out of it, and it kills your childhood memories. If I were to work as a railroad conductor, then it would take the fun out of it for me. I also think that it would be very enjoyable working with trains, but I think it would get old and then the joy of trains would also fade.

True Color: Gold

My first true color result was gold. As a gold, I value and care about family and friends. I am known as a very organized, determined, responsible person. I agree with these characteristics listed. The ones that mostly stand out are organized, responsible, and ruler. I like to keep myself well organized. At times, I am not always well organized and it gets esoteric to find certain stuff. I am responsible and always like to follow the rules. Responsibility has always been idiosyncrasy to me. I am determined as well. I start worrying and over-thinking too much when I do not complete a task or project, which is stressful at times. I like to inclusive my work and have clear instructions on how to do it. When I am confused on instructions I tend to impede at times.

The true colors assignment listed many careers. I am currently looking into Social Work. Social Work is a blue occupation, which is a good thing because blue is my second color. Some of the things I discovered about Social Work are you need to know how to read and write at the college level. It is require to have a four-year university degree, either a  Bachelor or Master degree. Social Workers work with different types of issues. For instance, family counseling, senior care, youth care, and more. I believe this career is a match because the gold characteristics you value family, which certain social workers help families with problems. Something new I discover was that some social workers travel locally to visit clients to have private sessions. Full time social workers work about 40 hours a week. I have always enjoy helping others and as a social worker you help many people. Social workers have to see people's different point of views and know how to be non-judgemental. You need to be a good listener and know how to communicate and understand people. 14.4% has increase in jobs for social work. The average pay is about $2,227 to $5,917 per month. It also depends on the experience and type of work you have. I will hard work to achieve my dream in becoming a successful social worker to help foster children and abuse families and children.

True Color: Blue

After taking the True Colors test, according to the results my color is Blue. Meaning that I'm a loving, nurturing and a supportive person. I focus on what is good in people, I'm sensitive which makes other see that as a weakness when it's really not. Overall this pretty much sums me up. I tend to forgive anyone, no matter what they did to me, I feel like people are capable of changing but all we need to so is give them another chance and even if they fail me again, I'll keep on forgiving them. But just like everyone else, there's a limit to how much I can handle. I am a maudlin type of person, I care too much about others and I tend to be too nice which can sometimes be bad, I also cry over the smallest of things (& no, I don't cry over puppies or kitties). I'm okay with being all of this but sometimes it can bring problems into my life mainly by my sensitivity.

The major that I'm working towards to was included in the list of the jobs that would suit me due to my color. Currently I want to be a registered nurse, but one of the jobs from the list caught my attention. Being a school nurse. I would really like to be an elementary school nurse, I really enjoy helping out people that require assistance and I really like kids, so helping out little kids with scrapes or bruises or any other problem they may have is something I think I would enjoy doing. Then again I want to be able to focus on adults who may need assistance as well and not just kids, that way I would be able to know how adults and kids work, or maybe I'm not explaining myself well but being a registered nurse is what I think would suit me better. Although I'm not a gregarious person as most nurses are, I know how to communicate well with others to get my point across and I use enough discretion when it comes to certain situations. I also liked one of the jobs in the list which was becoming a nanny, but then I thought about it and realized I shouldn't do it. I currently babysit at home and sometimes I can't handle the kids, so definitely after thinking it through I don't want to take care of kids as a living, I'll do it as a favor but not for a living.

My true color:Blue

After I took my true color test , the results said that I am the color blue. The color blue meaning that people who posses being this color are people who are adept with loving unconditionally and are there for others. Due to my results is says that blues have good people skills. They can communicate with others easily and are very lucid when speaking their mind. They know how to listen to others and make other's people happy. I agree with what my match was. I couldn't have said it any better. I consider myself to have value in honesty and loyalty.I can communicate with others easily and are very lucid when speaking their mind. Although I can be sensitive at times with certain things, people shouldn't take it as a weakness because its not. It's something that I actually like about myself. I like the fact that I'm not afraid to say how I feel about things. Us blues also like calm warm work environments that usually involve helping others.

My major that I'm working towards too was in my results of the true colors assessment. But Dental Hygiene wasn't in my top five. Although I am glad that Im going in the right direction and Im following what I like. One of the top careers that was recommend from the test was adult education teacher. The nice thing about this is that it opened my mind to other things that I could also decide from. I could actually see myself being a pre-school teacher or an elementary school teacher. I think that part of the reason I do is because of my  siblings. My parents work a lot and I'm the one who's their with them and care for them and they bring me happiness. An adult education teacher are teacher who teach grades 7-12. A bachelor's degree is required to become an adult education teacher.Experience in working with teens is also required for the job.Certification and credentials are also required. It is said that coming into the teaching field is some what competitive because so many go towards it but if its something some really wants they should go for it but be aware of the risks of not getting a job in the field. Although the adult teaching position is something that seems good for me . I already made up my mind on what I want to achieve and that's becoming a dental hygiene and I wont stop until I am one.

Preparing For My Future Career

When I took my true color test my result was GOLD! I am known to be responsible, organized, stable, and follow the rulers. I believe that each one of these characteristics built my personality that makes me who I am.  The characteristics that stands out the most, for me is being stable. I believe that stability brings a lot of positive things in my life. First, I got married at a young age, to great man. Secondly, having a job or going to school are important factor, for me and my future. Lastly, when I make choices in life I always over think them; so if it doesn’t work out I have plan B.

Being GOLD comes with a lot of responsibility. My family comes to me for a lot of things like, planning a party, settling family disagreements, babysitting and many more. Sometimes it can get very frustrating because I feel that I need to be in control at all times. I even thought about, becoming an adventurous person, but because of my symmetrical personality I do the same thing almost every day. Most of the time people look at me as a perfect person, but I am foible.

My true color test said that career choice should be an accountant. The career choice that stands out the most was construction, and ward to say I like construction. The person that I interview is Byron Witty. Byron is the CEO of his company, “B Witty Interior”. He is a License Drywall Contactor, Bookkeeper and Accountant. He has been in business for thirteen years. What kind of advice you can give me about school? “Make sure this is what you want because it took me a while to figure out what my passion was. What’s the pay like? “The pay varies; you can make about thirty-five hundred a month and more;  it all depends on how long you been in the field; because if you’re a junior accountant your pay scale is at the bottom, but a senior accountant makes more because of their experience”. What advices you give someone like me who wants to become an accountant? “Have patients with yourself and the people around you; because numbers can be very frustrating and it can put you into distraught, if you’re calm it can be lucid”. Meeting with Mr. Witty makes me feel very good about my future.

My Career Match

I was really intrigued to discover the color category I was, and the occupations that came with it. I took my True Colors Test and I scored as a blue there are many great qualities that come with this color. I was really happy with my results because I hold these qualities. As a blue you can be the most loving, nurturing and supportive persons. They also follow to express yourself and often communicate from your heart as a person. The career that best fits me is an Animal Health Technician. An Animal Health Technician also known as a Veterinary Assistant is responsible for the welfare of the animal. In a animal hospital setting they assist with surgery, and give treatment and administer medications, immunization, and blood plasma as prescribed by the Veterinarian .They may also perform emergency aid and treatment to animal patients including suturing skin incisions, administering anesthesia, casting broken bones, and bandaging wounds. This career isn’t sedentary you must perform many physical activities during a typical workday. Being robust is important to complete many tasks in this field. There will be many grievous moments in this career. The education requirement for an Animal Health Technician is a 2yr program in animal Health Technology in a community college. This will take a lot of training and experience. The top pay for an Animal Health Technician is $3,508 & up depending on the level of training. I have to say that the True Color Test has boosted my attitude to achieve to this career even more. I see myself working in this career because I care for the well being of animals. I will work my hardest to become a future Animal Health Technician or even a Veterinarian.

"MY DREAM CAREER"

My true color is "GOLD". As a gold, we value order and cherish the tradition of home, family, and country. We tend to be dependable and reliable and can be counted upon to do what we say we will do. Punctuality is very important to us. We sometimes provide for a support the structure of society. Steadfastness and loyalty are our trademarks as a gold. We show care making everyone do the right thin, and by making ourselves rather than show someone else how to do it. Also, we tend to be matter of fact, realistic and more interested in the tangible, than in the idea or theory behind it. Planning and having a good plan is very important to us when things do not go as planned we often have a plan "B". The career that was best and love for me is a Law Enforcement Officer, a police officer to be specific. They are responsible for protecting life, property, and preserving the peace. They require enforce laws and maintain order. They work to prevent crimes, investigate compliants/crimes, apprhend violators, and assist in presecutions of criminals. They respond to accidents, disasters, and emergency situations. To be a Law Enforcement Officer it needs learning and understanding the laws/proceduces, speaking clearly to explain the laws, write tickets/arrest warrants/reports, and officers need to stay in good physical condition with body. Needs demonstrate emotional stability and mentally strong. Law Enforcement also needs a high school diploma or GED by law. Employers usually require passing of competitive exams for reading and writing, aptitudes, attitudes, physical condition, and general health. It needs a certified by the state to present The Basic Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Academy for police officers. If education is expended, a Criminal Justice Bachelors Degree is best. Law Enforcement Officer top pay is $8, 180 & up. For annual salary is ip to $55, 264. I absolutely see myself in this career sice i was a little girl, and my cousin use to tell me stories but her experiences as a police officer. I work harder then ever, i do things/actions right and get them done the best. I am determined  and motivated to be an Law Enforcement Officer (Police), i will accomplish my dream to make it happen, and someday be working as a LAPD Officer just like my cousin.

Can this be My Career Dream

My true color is Blue we care and loves we are bolster people that are there for others. We collaborate well with others, blues communicate from the heart. Blues would not scoff at someone instead; they are there for the when they are maudlin. We like to focus on what good in people and value with honesty and the truth. The career that was best for me is Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT). They give immediate care to the critically ill and injured, and psychological patients. Its take lot of training therefore there are levels of certified activities to reach each and one to have a license for ambulance attendant. For this career is to have to do demanding work, move quickly and confidently and lift, carry, and move patients along with showing emotional strength. EMT need a high school required for admission to training programs. Secondly, one term course approximately three months is accessible in many schools or community colleges. Finally, EMT’s have to certified which means completing a state approve training course and passing written and practical exams. EMT top pay is 3,398 it depends on the level of training and on certification level; they tend to go up to. I do see myself in this career because indeed, I do care for others and care in rescuing people lives. It is a lot hard work if this was my career I push myself to work my best but I still stay with my career hopefully to be a X-ray technician in the future in Cedars –Sinai Medical Center working with my brother.

I'm Blue Da Ba Dee Da Ba Da

My true color is blue. As a blue, it is natural for us to be gregarious, and we tend to help people when they feel despondent. Blues are not that common in males only because they tend to be more sensitive and males tend to rarely show their sensitive side. We are more of the helping type and we seek to help others when they don't have other people to gain any bolster from. Blue's are willing to go out the way to help others. We also can sense depression and anger so we try to make people happy. Blue seems to be the perfect fit for me because I'm always putting other people before myself, it really isn't the best thing to do because I'm always sacrificing things. Recently I met this girl through one of my friends when I was going to the club with them and I noticed she was depressed, so I took the time to pull her away and asked her what was going on, she eventually told me her situation and how she normally was a strong, positive person but with everything that was going on with her, she just felt like giving up. As the friendly type of person I am, without even knowing her, I told her, I'm here for you, I'll support you and help you get back on your feet. I found out she was living by herself, there was no food in the refrigerator, and she was jobless due to an incident that caused her to go to jail for the weekend and made her lose her job. I felt bad for her so I bought her groceries, gave her money for rent, and attempted to help her find a new job by asking around, helping her with her resume, and taking her to job interviews. It was hard for me to assist her because half the time I found her to stress out, or not really care to look for a job, but that didn't stop me from helping her.

One of the occupations for blue is a social worker. I was grateful enough to contact my old social worker from when I was a foster kid. Her name is Jaenai Rodriguez. We recently kept in touch and started hiking weekly. Jaenai is an MSW social worker. She deals with foster children and their family to positively impact them. She really enjoys her job and she is outgoing, she gets involved with her clients unlike most social workers that does their job for the money.

Jaenai Rodriguez at work, well at least she thinks she's at work.

True Colors: Is Librarian a Good Match for Me?

I was so interested to find out the results of my True Color test, and I was not surprised at the findings. I scored as a Gold and many of the qualities associated with this color are true to form for my personality. Some of the values represented by the Gold color are family traditions, dependability, loyalty, timeliness, generosity, organization, responsibility, patriotism, respecting authority, and ethics just to name a few. I would say, without a doubt, that I definitely value all of these qualities. So, in my opinion, I feel that the True Color test was right on track. However, I was surprised at the occupations that it provided as a guideline for me. I have an inquisitive spirit and I am deeply interested in the study of history, as it is my major. The surprise is that Historian appears no where in the list of occupations. Initially, I was slightly disheartened by the results; but upon further examination of the list, I found that one occupation in particular would be similar. The career I chose to research was that of Librarian. Librarians seem to have a robust inclination to read and understand so many subjects, especially history. What better way to continually learn and share knowledge than as a well-heeled librarian. As a librarian, one is required to choose and organize a variety of media and materials as a way to assist students or the public in effectively using them. Today’s librarians are very different from those in the past, as technology has forced them to become well-versed in the intricacies of the electronic age. The education requirement for a librarian is a Master’s Degree in Library Science (MLS). This will generally take approximately a couple of years to complete; of course, this is after already receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science. In addition, most librarians need to be certified and some will often get a secondary degree in an area of expertise. To be successful, librarians need to be tenacious in their learning so that they may react quickly to the ever changing technology in today’s world. They must also have good problem solving and strong reading skills. On average, with all required education and requirements met, librarians can earn annual salaries in the mid-$50,000 range, and hourly wages at over $25 per hour. While this was a surprising result, I can see how a history buff could do well in such an occupation. Perhaps I could use this as a Plan B if things don’t work out elsewhere!

My career is unique in it's own way

My true color was orange, I was not expecting to get orange but when I read the description...I was surprised! There were certain things in that description that suit me well. I figured out my career and I want to pursue a dance career. Dancing is something I have always enjoyed ever since I was young. My favorite genres are ballet and acro but I appreciate each genre. I remember watching a short documentary on the special features part of a DVD and it was about ballet. I was fascinated by it and I wanted to take ballet classes, so my parents signed me up. I didn't always take it seriously but as I got older, I started to focus on it more. When I was doing my research, I was amazed to hear that I could dance for a career and get paid for it. I have always enjoyed dancing and would like to pursue a career related to that. I found out that the average salary is $50 to $100 a week. The median hour wage in May 2010 was $13.16, whereas a choreographer was $18.11. The pay isn't the greatest, but it's not bad either. This is a career that you have to start as a child if you want to become a professional. Ballet in particular is one of them. Dancing is much more than talent, it's an art and a sport which requires you to be very dexterous. How is it a sport? It's competitive and physically challenging. Dancing requires determination, flexibility, strength, confidence, and hard work. It's a career that doesn't last very long. The zenith of a dancer's career typically ends in their 30's, this is due to injury or illness. So you would need something to fall back on in case something were to happen. While most people vicariously watch dancing at a live event or in front of their TV and computer screens, there are very few people that wish to actually get out there and do it. It seems easy to some people, but it really isn't. It is very tough and demanding, physically and mentally. You must be in great shape too. Another thing about dancing is a healthy diet, you must eat really healthy in order to stay in shape. Dancing is something that's also ostentatious, they often perform their skills and they tell a story through their movements and facial expressions. This is my favorite part about dancing, I love telling a story with my body and expressing myself. Dancers perform in a variety of different opportunities such as music videos and theatrical performances. Most performances are often televised. Amusement parks are also a good option, places such as Disneyland or Universal Studios look for people to dance in their parades and shows. They do need more than just dance experience, most parade performers even have some gymnastics experience. It's not fully necessary but it helps. Now do you need any type of gymnastics experience to be a better dancer? Not necessarily, but it helps with flexibility and strength. They don't have 9-5 jobs because training can last from 6-8 hours or 9-12 hours. I feel like with some determination and confidence, I could make this dream a reality. I do have a lot of back up plans though in case I do get ill or injured. I think my true color explained my personality well and I am hoping for the best, I don't know what exactly will happen...but I hope that I will dance as a career someday. Who knows what the future may hold for me? :)
A quote I live by each day :)
